The Holy Spirit wants you to take the time to consider the commandments of the Lord for your life. Then ask yourself the question why you feel they are burdensome and hold you captive or in restraint? It is evident that we don’t consider things the right way we should and most times make rash decisions that only hurt us and rob us of the very best .

The Holy Spirit wants me to lay out some fundamental laws of the Covenant for you to look at from the right perspective before you decide why you believe them to be burdensome.

I found the Holy Spirit saying to me to look at everything the Lord asks me to do? The question is who does it benefit? As I looked at the commandments that came to mind I realized that each one of them was for my benefit not God’s. So let us look at the commandments the Lord asks us to do.

Well concerning giving it says in Luke.6:38 First of all Give and it will be given unto you in good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over shall men give unto you. Look at the promise of God to the giver. What you give will come back to you in many more directions than you gave.

Jesus only said we should give and the result will be that there will be more given back to us in good measure, take note not evil measure, pressed down so more can be added in for us and then shaken together to level out more for us and running over which indicates it overflows our boundaries or scope . The question is what is so burdensome about receiving more than you gave?

Let’s look at prayer from Luke.11:10 Jesus said ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened to you. What burden is it to us if we get more than we requested from the Lord? Jesus said we would find much greater than we sought for in terms of knowledge, understanding, revelation and find greater treasure based on our search. When we knock persistently a wider door of opportunity into much more heavenly treasure is open unto us which increases us by broadening our horizon concerning life and its purpose.

Now let’s look at fasting, we give up a meal so God can benefit ? No, the benefits of fasting are clearly pointed out in Isaiah.58:8-9 Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. 9.Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’

You will see clearly the path to follow and your healing will spring forth speedily and your righteousness will precede you and God’s glory shall be your rear guard plus you will loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? 7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh?.

These blessings for fasting speak of personal benefit to us with additional benefit to others whose lives we are in position to free. So the question remains: what is so burdensome about that? Why should I have to give up a meal so that this evil will happen because I did not eat a meal which benefits God ? Certainly not?

It is so that we humans have maximum benefits in life because God wants us to have the best of everything. That is why He gave us His best in His Only son Jesus so we could reign in life as kings and priests to change society to be a haven of rest by living out heaven on earth. More than enough for everybody and much to spare.

Finally for us to love one another and fulfill the law of Christ in order to increase continuous fighting on the earth which profits God? No it so that things will work perfectly in our relationships on earth because no one does what will hurt the other. Each of us will all do things for the benefit of each other and cover each other’s backs so that nothing is missing in all our lives. So what is so burdensome about living that way free of wars, continuous conflict and building on the good?

Today I have shared with you the truth on how the Holy Spirit wants us to view the commandments of our covenant with Jesus. This is to enable us to experience the bountiful goodness of God towards us.

For this reason I encourage you to look at the truths you have heard then allow the grace in these words the Holy Spirit provides you to empower you to change the lies and deception satan has sowed to your minds to make you feel doing God is not worth it but only robs you of fun and enjoyment.

What greater enjoyment is there than seeing people free to live life again. It is time to step back into doing righteousness by walking in the fear of the Lord. Then you will see all the benefits I have shared with you become the reality in your lives as they impact all that you do by increasing your standing in society as your life manifests days of heaven here on earth so that the name of Jesus is glorified through your life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Remember in closing to use these words of Jesus as your go to place of refuge when you feel discouraged or distressed on the way things are going and looking negative. Quickly get back on the track of the truth to only believe again what the Lord says and all things will become possible to you again as you agree with the Lord and His ways. Then keep doing the truth which will never fail to deliver on your behalf. This fact will never change: God will never fail to come through for you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
