Today I share the first part of my communion time with the Holy Spirit on walking in marriage union with the Spirit of triumph.

The Holy Spirit this morning in my communion time with Him spoke of us being married to the Spirit of Triumph in Christ Jesus. This means we are in a marriage covenant with the spirit of triumph. We are through that union always in the position where we are continuously walking in the place of triumph regardless of the place we started, even if it was from an ash heap.

“All the triumph which is in Jesus automatically is available to us to use because through the marriage union we are now entitled to every provision the Spirit of triumph has available.”

My heart was excited at the reality of that prospect because I know that in many situations in my life there have been places of victory I won that were snatched away from me, because I was unaware of how to correctly navigate after the success and ended up losing ground.

This was an unfortunate pattern that the apostle Paul went through where He had major success in a Region. Then suddenly he found himself being driven away from that region through the use of influential people who stirred up trouble against his witness which resulted in him being expelled from that region. Acts.13:49. I always wanted to know and understand why this kept happening to Paul to help me correctly navigate my victories without falling into the same cycle of gaining ground then immediately losing it.

Let me now share some of the things the Holy Spirit pointed out to me about our marriage to the Spirit of triumph in Christ Jesus. In 2 Corinthians 2:14 we read these words written by the apostle Paul: Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

I recall the first day the revelation of always triumphing became real to me because as I was reading and meditating on this scripture I realized that the Apostle Paul spoke those words after he had missed an open door of opportunity in Troas where everything was perfectly in place spiritually and the people were ready with spiritual eagerness. There was on this occasion no physical or spiritual opposition to the Apostle Paul sharing his message.

The people were spiritually ready with eagerness of heart to hear and receive his word. However on this unusual occasion Paul was the person not at rest. So he could not take advantage of this open access door the Lord had given him.

I was stunned because I knew how many times he had struggled to gain open access and the level of warfare he had to do just to prepare the ground. So now when everything was open how could he capitulate and then go on to say the Lord always leads us in triumph. So I asked the Holy Spirit how this was a triumph when he leaves without having done anything in Troas.

The Holy Spirit pointed out to me that Paul was led out in triumph in Troas, but his behavior in choosing to leave is what caused him to miss out, not the Spirit of triumph who paved the way for him. Had Paul ministered to the people there would have been much triumph that was made manifest in the lives of the people.

“I learned a life defining lesson there.” “That although the Lord can open the door for us our conduct/ actions in every situation can and does determine the final outcome we experience.”

This realization points to the fact that we must always be ready to take the opportunities the Lord presents. For this reason we need to be watchful, alert and girded with truth to make good every opportunity the Lord makes available to us.

This reality is a clear portrait of the importance of our responsibility to steward the truth faithfully to its conclusion. The Holy Spirit went on to speak to me today on the importance of being married to the Spirit of triumph and fulfilling our covenant responsibilities.

This matrimonial union speaks of being one with the Spirit of triumph which connotes walking in total harmony in choreographed movement with Jesus as one entity. It also speaks of complete agreement with Triumphing leaving no room for defeat in any situation no matter how it looks or appears. The end result will always be triumph.
