In my communion time with the Holy Spirit, a divine encouragement was released to me concerning the Lord’s burning desire for His people to expect Him to work in ways that defy natural laws, human reasoning, and impossible circumstances for their lives. The Holy Spirit emphasized that the Lord Jesus who is the Creator and Owner of all things wants to demonstrate His magnificence on behalf of His people by experiencing our inheritance through testimonies of triumph that astonish the world. Hebrews.1:2.
The Holy Spirit is recovering and reviving in us an implicit trust in God’s supernatural ability. The Holy Spirit wants to restore our confidence that the Lord Most High is able to intervene in the worst, most hopeless situations by producing results so extraordinary that men are startled by the sheer scale of His awesome power. All through Scripture the Lord repeatedly turns disaster into triumph, tragedy into glory, and impossibility into glorious testimony.
The Holy Spirit reminded from Romans 4:17 that He the Lord always “gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did”. This means that the Lord is never intimidated by what looks dead, final, or irreversible. He sees possibilities where we humans see endings. He sees resurrection where we see death.
Jesus illustrated this by demonstration at the house of Jairus in Mark.5:39-42 when surrounded by mourners weeping loudly over the death of the little girl, Jesus declared, “She is not dead, but sleeping.” Their reaction was to laugh at Him to scorn as their unbelief clashed with His resurrection viewpoint. Jesus promptly cleared the room by removing the doubters and then proceeded to raise the girl back to life. The miracle was so evident that Jesus told them not to speak of it, because the result itself of her being raised from death spoke much louder than words could describe.
When we look at how Jesus operated in the house of Jairus, the Holy Spirit asks the question: Would you allow Jesus to clear your “house, your atmosphere, your thoughts, even relationships of all doubt so resurrection power can work freely? Are you willing to offend your family to secure your miracle from the Lord or will you stick to the status quo above the Lord’s intervention?
The Holy Spirit then highlighted the story in 2 Kings 6–7, which records one of the darkest moments in Israel’s history. When a famine is so severe that mothers resorted to eating their children because of the lack of food. Yet in chapter 7:1, Elisha prophesied that within 24 hours food would be plentiful and cheap again in Israel. A nobleman from the king’s house doubted the word by sarcastically saying such a thing was impossible even if God opened heaven.
Elisha told him he would see the miracle which brought the change from famine to plenty but would not partake of it which happened exactly as Elisha had spoken. The Lord needed no heavenly fireworks to accomplish this marvel. He only needed four lepers stepping out at dusk to trigger the divine intervention. In one night, the Lord turned a nation’s calamity into supernatural supply.
We must receive the faith which comes through this word because the Holy Spirit is teaching us how the Lord changes situations overnight if we choose to believe. The Lord loves to astonish us. He loves to shift crises into miracles that make the world marvel at His sheer mighty power at work. But He also warns that His people continually “limited the Holy One of Israel”even after they saw Him perform miracles in their daily lives. Psalm 78:41.
The Holy Spirit’s call is clear to us today that we should remove every limitation we placed on God no matter its source and begin to see things again from His perspective. The Lord is fully able to do “exceedingly, abundantly above all we ask or think according to His power at work in us. ”Ephesians 3:20. This truth requires us to expand our capacity to believe, just as Isaiah 54:2 & 3 commands us to“enlarge the place of your tent.”
We find Jesus testing Philip similarly in John 6:5 & 6 by asking him where they might buy bread for the multitude. Jesus already knew what He would do which was to multiply five loaves and two fish to feed thousands with leftovers. However, Jesus wanted to see how Philip was developing his faith to believe the impossible having walked with Jesus for some time now. The point was to shift Philip from human logic to divine expectation.
The Holy Spirit desires this same shift in us which is to expect the impossible, by believing for the miraculous, and walking in a mindset that sees God’s limitless power as a normal occurrence in life challenges. So beloved as these truths take root in your heart, faith will arise in you to receive extraordinary interventions, and miracles that can shift even national conditions in a single day. The Holy Spirit longs for the Lord’s people to live from this perspective so the might of the Lord can be displayed, as His name is glorified, and His Kingdom expanded on earth in Jesus name.
Today I decree over you that your eyes open to see from God’s perspective. I declare that every limitation you placed on the Holy One is shattered off your life in Jesus name. From now on expect the miraculous, the supernatural, and the unimaginable to unfold in your life. I declare that the Lord Jesus who raises the dead, and calls things that do not exist into existence, and overturns national crises in a day, is moving on your behalf to change all your outcomes.
I declare your faith is expanding and your capacity is enlarging as your spirit rises up to believe for wonders that will startle men and glorify your father in heaven. I decree sudden turnarounds, overnight deliverances, divine interventions, and astonishing demonstrations of God’s power to manifest in your home, your family, your assignments, and your nation in Jesus name.
You will from this day carry testimonies that reveal the magnificence of the Lord, and you will walk in the realm of the Spirit where the impossible is made possible in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
