During my communion time with the Holy Spirit this morning, He spoke to me from Isaiah 58:3, where the Lord responds to His covenant people as they question why He has not fulfilled His part of the covenant despite their fasting. This passage reveals the right believers have to have honest conversations with the Lord regarding His ordinances and their personal results He promised we should have for our obedience.

The Holy Spirit has taught me over the years of walking with Him the importance of asking the Lord why the Kingdom word is not working as He said it should, after we have obeyed His instruction. This He pointed out is not doubt but an honest appraisal of what is happening with the Kingdom principle and an opportunity to gain wisdom and a deeper understanding of dynamics of the Spirit and the important things we may be missing being clarified and solved.

In this discourse in Isaiah 58:3, God’s people essentially are asking the Lord
“Why have we fasted and You have not seen? Why have we afflicted our souls and You have taken no notice?” This question demonstrates a covenant mindset that shows that they believe that every command God gives has a corresponding blessing as the reward for believing, and clearly points to the fact that they expected results from their obedience to the Lord’s command.

The Holy Spirit then reminded me of a similar question which was asked by the disciples in Matthew 17:19, when they asked Jesus privately: “Why could we not cast it out?” Their willingness to ask the right question in that situation opened the door for necessary correction, understanding, and empowerment to be given them.

They did not assume failure was God’s will so they sought clarity from Jesus so they could produce the right results going forward from this mishap in their faith. This principle forms an important biblical precedent that correction always leads to deeper revelation, which then leads to the manifestation of the miraculous.

This understanding teaches us that the Lord never instructs His children to do anything without attaching a promise, benefit, or harvest to that obedience to His commands. So when results are missing, it is not rebellion from God but it is an invitation to ask, “What is the missing link in our lives?”

In Isaiah 58, the people of Israel believed that their fasting obligated the Lord to respond in a miraculous way. They expected that by sacrificing food to seek Him, the Lord should act quickly in return to bring forth a mighty deliverance. This expectation is consistent with biblical patterns, such as in 2 Chronicles 20:1–30, where the Nation fasting brought  a divine supernatural intervention and victory which was being reaped over four days after the demise of their enemies.

The Holy Spirit emphasized that we must learn to ask why the corresponding results the Lord promised are not manifesting when we have followed the Lord’s instruction. We must never default to the belief that the Lord does not want to answer us favorably. Instead, we must seek Him  for understanding on anything which is hindering the manifestation of his hand in our lives.

This wisdom  truth requires us becoming harvest-minded, because the Lord is not only the giver of seed alone but He is the Lord of both seedtime and harvest. Genesis 8:22. Therefore every instruction we follow, every act of obedience we fulfil and, every word we sow carries a God-ordained harvest.

Let’s look at the example, when Jesus said in Luke 6:38 that when we give, we must expect to receive back in good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will men bring into our bosom. So always remember that if you give, you are scripturally required to expect a multiplied return.

Isaiah 58:3 reveals clearly that when fasting seems ineffective, the Lord does not leave His people confused. He is willing to  explain to us  why their fasting had yielded no results, and then gives clear solutions on how to fast correctly so that the promised benefits are restored to our lives. The Lord reminds them of the powerful blessings that are attached to fasting when done His way.

The Holy Spirit always uses these moments when we ask the right questions not as an opportunity to condemn us but to correct, realign, and restore us His people to the place where we can experience the full benefits of their obedience.

So today allow the Holy Spirit to correct you where necessary, through the grace supplied through this word by asking Him the relevant questions for your situation, and then fully expect Him to reveal the hindrances that have blocked your harvest.

Always remember that the Lord desires His children to have the restoration of the blessings associated with past fasting, giving, and obedience which have not been rewarded. It is time to arise in His strength and step into the manifestation of your harvest now because every seed of obedience carries a guaranteed reward in the Spirit and this is your season to reap in Jesus name. Amen.

I decree that from today, your eyes are opened to understand every missing link between your obedience and your harvest. I declare that every unanswered question you have receives divine clarity. Walk boldly in the grace to ask the right questions and receive Heaven’s answers resting upon you now.

I prophesy the restoration of every harvest that has been delayed, blocked, or hindered from manifesting in your lives. May every fast you have sown, every gift you have given, every act of obedience you have performed begin to yield its God-ordained return from this day forward. The Lord of the harvest visits you now.

You will never again sow without reaping an abundant harvest. You will never obey the Lord without receiving the promise and you will never fast again without getting a breakthrough. You will no longer pray without getting results in Jesus’ name.

From this moment, you step into a season of revealed truth, manifested harvest, divine correction, and supernatural results. The Holy Spirit brings you into the “now” moment of the Lord’s word through fulfilled words, multiplied returns, and miraculous restored benefits in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
