Have you ever asked, or thought to yourself “What is the most important aspect of the prayers you pray?”Well in my communion time with the Holy Spirit He shared with me how we should view our prayer times so we are experiencing all the Father wants us to have in our lives. Jesus our Master taught the answer repeatedly that prayer must be answered meaning that we are to ask and receive so that our joy may be full John.16:24.

Jesus modeled the confidence we should carry in prayer in John.11:41–42 at the tomb of Lazarus’ when He said Father I thank you that you have heard Me and I know you always hear me,  but because of the people who are standing by I have said this, they me believe that You sent Me. Jesus was absolutely confident that His prayer was answered as He spoke and demonstrated it by reaping the answer after praying by raising Lazarus from the grave back into society.

The Apostle John further reinforces that confidence we as followers and lovers of Jesus must have when he said these words in 1 John 5:14 that if we ask anything that accords with God’s will, we know He hears us and whatever we ask, we know we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

From these truths flow several practical, spiritual principles which we must build in our prayer arsenal that  Prayer is always meant to succeed because the ultimate goal of prayer is answered prayer,  not mere activity. So we must expect answers.

Self-examination of our spiritual life is essential because if you keep asking without receiving answers to your prayers, you must test your heart and spiritual position before God. You should always ask, “Why am I not getting answers?” (See James 4:3). Don’t keep sowing prayer on barren ground without investigating the reason for the barrenness.

Cultivate the habit of asking the Holy Spirit  how to pray in each situation and what to ask for rather than assume you understand why something isn’t working. It is always more profitable to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what’s missing and what you must change. It’s always wiser to press into the Holy Spirit’s wisdom than to stay in a posture of guessing.

Make the quality decision to align your prayer with God’s will. Romans 8:26–28 shows us that the Spirit helps us in our weakness to pray according to God’s purposes. So invite the Holy Spirit to guide your petitions so they line up with heaven’s agenda.

On purpose,  make Holy Spirit-led prayer a habit by regularly asking the Holy Spirit to confirm, correct, and direct your prayers which will result in building your confidence and consistency in experiencing answered prayer. Habitual dependence on the Holy Spirit increases your spiritual fruit.

Be conscious of the greatest obstacle to your receiving answered prayer which is a lack of fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Remember that prayer begins in the Spirit and must be reaped in the Spirit. Just as Jesus always operated entirely in the Spirit  and warned us in John.6:63 that the flesh profits nothing. Transactions run in the flesh always produce loss but transactions run and made in the Spirit always produce miraculous results.

The Holy Spirit offered me a practical action to take before you continue praying the same request over again, which is to always ask the Holy Spirit: What am I missing in the way I am praying? What should I really be praying about concerning this matter and how should I position myself accurately to receive and to reap the answer to my request?

Remember that your conclusion to prayer must always be a manifested answer. So make sure your prayer is rooted and led by the Holy Spirit which means it is grounded in the Lord’s will and accompanied by an honest self-examination of yourself.

This guarantees that answered prayer becomes the normal expectation in your life, not the exception. By implementing these spiritual habits you will revolutionize your prayer life and bring harvests of answered prayer and fullness of joy in your walk of faith in Jesus name. Amen.

In the name of Jesus, I decree over you now that your prayers will no longer return to you void. The Holy Spirit quickens your petitions and aligns them with the will of the Father  so that as you ask, you receive, and your joy is full. Every barrier, delay, and confusion that has kept your prayers from bearing fruit is exposed and removed by the light of the Spirit.

From this moment you walk in Spirit-led prayer as your heart is examined, your petitions are refined, and your posture is yielded to the Lord. The Holy Spirit will show you what to pray, how to position yourself, and when to expect the harvest. The new habit of receiving answered prayer is formed in you now in Jesus name.

You will not be content with empty prayer activity but you will move with heavenly confidence because you know the Lord hears you. Miraculous answers, timely breakthroughs, with confirmed testimonies will now follow your prayers. The life of answered petitions, overflowing joy, and supernatural increase is yours in Jesus’ name. Amen.
