In communion, the Holy Spirit spoke with clarity about the critical importance of living in such a way that the Lord is never fighting against us. Scripture assures us in Romans.8:31 that if God is for us, no opposition ultimately matters because in Him we have triumph, but we must never presume upon His support while walking contrary to His will. The sobering reality is that it is possible for the Lord to stand against His own people when they persist in disobedience.
This truth is revealed plainly in Revelation 2, where Jesus addresses several churches and repeatedly declares, “I have this against you.” In Revelation 2:4, He confronts their loss of their first love which is communion with Himself. So what was lost must be recovered back in union with Him.
In Revelation 2:14, He rebukes those holding to the teaching of Balaam as they participate in idolatry and sexual sin. Such compromise Jesus said must cease. In Revelation 2:20, He rebukes the tolerance of “Jezebel,” a false prophetic influence leading His servants into immorality and idolatry. Tolerating sin and deception invites His opposition rather than His defence towards His Own.
Jesus revealed these things to John so that His people could repent, realign, and restore their fellowship with Him, so that He might fight for them instead of against them. This realization is deeply searching.
There are times when one may feel the Lord is resisting rather than advancing one’s efforts, particularly when attempting to reach out or defend individuals whom the Lord has already judged. Extending what the Holy Spirit termed as “blind loyalty” or “stupid love” which represents excusing persistent sin under the banner of grace can place us at odds with the Lord’s righteous judgment.
The judgment of Jesus pronounced upon the church in Thyatira in Revelation 2:20–23 demonstrates that divine love does not ignore wrongdoing but it corrects it and executes justice when necessary. Love and justice are not opposites. As declared in Psalms 89:14, righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne. We must understand that righteousness cannot stand without a system of justice to address lawlessness.
The Holy Spirit impressed the need for continual self-examination to ensure one is not unknowingly opposing God’s purposes. Luke.12:57. The example of Joshua’s defeat at Ai illustrates this. When Israel suffered loss, the Lord revealed He was not fighting for them due to hidden sin in their midst. Only after the issue was confronted and addressed could divine support be restored.
The Holy Spirit warned that when we tolerate what God condemns out of sentimentality, or the fear of confrontation, or misguided compassion we risk our lives forfeiting His protection. Our agreement with the Lord’s truth is essential. The Holy Spirit always faithfully exposes areas of misalignment, but we must choose to respond through repentance.
We cannot remain in compromised positions and expect the divine promises of protection to operate automatically to keep us safe. Refusing the way of escape the Lord provides while claiming immunity from harm is self-deception.
If a weapon is already prospering, it is because we have not stepped out of the environment that empowers it. Obedience always restores covering while compromise forfeits it and opens access for the enemy.
Therefore, the call to you is urgent to come out from every unholy agreement that has placed you at odds with Christ. It is time to realign with His truth. Be quick to repent where necessary so you may regain His support and protection so that His power once again works for you, to defeat your enemies and restore you back to the place of triumph.
Embracing the grace released through this word in your hearts enables decisive correction and as divine alignment is restored, so is divine favour to restore back to you good fortune and miraculous results. The good hand of the Lord will once again overshadow your life, and you will experience renewed victory over every scheme designed to swallow you up in Jesus name.
I declare in the mighty Name of Jesus that every area of misalignment in your life is being exposed and corrected so that where compromise once stood, repentance now arises. Where blind loyalty clouded judgment, truth now brings clarity of purpose.
The Lord is turning back towards you in favour as you turn toward Him in obedience. His righteous justice is restoring your covering and His hand will fight for you again and not against you. In Jesus’ name every agreement that empowered the enemy is destroyed and every tolerated deception is uprooted out of your life, as the good hand of the Lord rests upon you once more.
I decree that you shall walk in restored protection, in renewed authority, and undeniable triumph. All the negative works of the enemy seeking to swallow you up shall fail and become non-existent, and your life will testify once again of the Lord’s justice, mercy, and victorious power in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen.
