This revelation centres on the Holy Spirit’s urgent instruction to us followers of Jesus to avoid making rash and hasty decisions that arise from fear, pressure, embarrassment, or the desire to appear wise before people. The Holy Spirit emphasised how these impulsive actions often reveal a lack of true trust in the Lord and can move the followers of Jesus outside the will and timing of the Lord.
So instead of reacting quickly to satisfy human expectations or defend appearances, followers of Jesus are called to wait for the Lord’s direction and remain steadfast in obedience, even when the circumstances seem confusing, vulnerable, or foolish in the eyes of others.
The Holy Spirit reminded me of the account of Moses leading Israel to camp before the Red Sea. From a natural perspective, the decision appeared irrational and dangerous because the people were trapped between the sea and Pharaoh’s advancing army, with no visible escape route.
It seemed like poor leadership on the part of Moses, and the people could easily have questioned whether Moses was truly hearing from the Lord. Yet Moses did not try to justify himself through taking hurried action, including retreat, or human reasoning. He simply obeyed the Lord and waited.
The Lord had intentionally positioned them there because He was preparing to perform an unprecedented miracle that would become their testimony throughout history. The parting of the Red Sea became a defining revelation of the Lord’s power and faithfulness, proving that fact that obedience to the Lord’s instruction is always greater than human logic.
The Holy Spirit stressed that we as Jesus’s followers must stop allowing awkward uncomfortable circumstances or fear of people’s opinions to drive us into taking premature decisions. There is no need the Holy Spirit indicated for us to answer every question or prove to others that the Lord is directing our lives.
Trying to defend the Lord’s instructions through human wisdom and sensible-looking actions often robs us of the divine intervention the Lord intends to release to free us. Instead, we as His followers must learn to remain in obedience and wait for the Lord’s perfect timing, even when the situation appears ridiculous or completely misunderstood.
The Holy Spirit further pointed out that nearly every major miracle in Scripture occurred in conditions that looked impossible or unreasonable from a human perspective. The Lord often chooses difficult, uncertain, or adverse circumstances to reveal His glory and establish His testimony.
The Holy Spirit reminded me of incident of Peter walking on the water during a raging storm. Peter did not carefully analyse the situation, calculate the risks, or wait for perfect conditions. The miracle occurred in the midst of chaos and uncertainty on the sea of Galilee. When Jesus said, “Come,” to Peter on the water walking, Peter responded immediately to the Lord’s instruction and stepped out of the boat. Though it appeared rather reckless and presumptuous to human understanding, Peter went on to experience a supernatural testimony unlike any other disciple because he acted on the word of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit highlighted the fact that the other eleven disciples also had the opportunity to step onto the water, but they remained in the comfort and perceived safety of the boat. Peter alone chose obedience over fear and entered a new realm of glory prepared by the Lord. This word warns us not to remain trapped in our comfort zones or to make only natural decisions simply to appear intelligent or responsible before others. Human reasoning is often what keeps people from entering the miraculous dimensions of the Lord’s purpose for their lives.
The central exhortation of this revelation is that we as Jesus’s followers must learn to restrain ourselves from acting out of panic, pressure, pride, or the fear of man. We must instead wait patiently for the Lord’s instruction on how to proceed and then obey Him fully, even when our obedience appears foolish to others. The Lord’s ways always transcend human understanding, and our obedience to His voice positions us to experience the supernatural testimonies that could never be achieved through natural effort or hasty decisions.
I close this revelation with a prayer that the grace released through these words would empower every hearer and doer of this word to resist all rash and premature actions, by granting you the ability to remain steadfast in difficult and uncomfortable positions, and to wait for the Lord’s direction. I declare that as followers of Jesus obey the Holy Spirit, they will witness the manifestation of the Lord’s awesome power and receive glorious new testimonies of triumph.
It will be in your life just as Israel crossed the Red Sea victoriously and sang the new song of how the horse and rider were thrown into the sea, so as Jesus’s followers you are called to emerge on the other side of your fierce trials with songs of victory and new stories of the Lord’s faithfulness and miraculous intervention.
I declare that the grace of the Holy Spirit will come upon you today to silence every fear-driven impulse and every pressure to act outside the timing of the Lord. May you receive divine restraint to wait upon the Lord with confidence and unwavering trust. I declare that as you obey the voice of the Holy Spirit above the opinions of men, may all the impossible situations in your life become the very platform upon which the Lord reveals His glory through your life.
I decree in Jesus name that every Red Sea before you part, that every storm raging against you become a testimony, and every place of seeming weakness become a stage for supernatural victory. I declare that you step boldly out of the boat of human reasoning into the miraculous realm ordained for you by the Lord so that your life will carry fresh testimonies of triumph, signs, wonders, and divine intervention that glorify Jesus and silence your every enemy. Go forth in the power and faithfulness of the Holy Spirit, singing a new song of victory on the other side of every battle, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
