Today I am sharing part of my communion time with the Holy Spirit on seeing beyond the plain and beyond the mountain into the place Jesus has ordained for you to walk in this new season.
In my communion time with the Holy Spirit this morning, He spoke to me about seeing beyond the plain and beyond the mountain into the place Jesus has ordained for us to walk in during this new season which is in a place that goes beyond our wildest dreams, expectations, and imaginations. The Holy Spirit drew my attention to the reality described in 1 Corinthians 2:9 which reads these words: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
These words are not merely familiar Bible words that we repeat because we have studied Scripture. The Holy Spirit emphasised the fact that these are real preparations of the Lord that He intends to reveal and bring into manifestation in our lives. They are realities that will become living events, experiences, and demonstrations of His power in this season of our lives. Remember that the vision has an appointed time, and when that time comes, the vision will speak. As Habakkuk 2:3 declares, the vision is for an appointed time; though it may appear to delay, it will surely come and will not lie.
Therefore, we must never regard what the Holy Spirit has shown us as vain imaginations, human ambition, or something invented by men because of how grand it sounds. What the Lord has conceived and spoken concerning us will be brought forth for His glory. The Lord never brings something to the point of birth and then abandon the process. Isaiah 66:9 establishes this reality that: the Lord who causes something to travail will also cause it to be brought forth. The Lord always brings forth what He has spoken.
The Holy Spirit reminded me of the prophetic word spoken concerning the birth of Jesus. The had Lord declared that a virgin would conceive and bear a Son (Isaiah 7:14). From the standpoint of natural human reasoning, such a thing was impossible to accomplish. Yet the impossibility of the promise did not make it impossible for the Lord to achieve. The Lord had already planned it, therefore, when the appointed time came, He brought His word to pass regardless of whether human beings believed it was possible or not.
The result was the birth of Jesus, as recorded in Matthew 1:18 where man participated in the process, but the initiative, power, and fulfilment belonged to the Lord. That singular event changed the course of history eternally and opened the way for a new breed of men and women who would be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit to become catalysts for unprecedented moves of God on the earth. Through the Holy Spirit, men and women would begin doing works and accomplishing feats that had never previously been seen as commonplace in human affairs.
This is consistent with the prophetic picture in Joel 2:29–30, where the Lord speaks of the outpouring of His Spirit and the extraordinary manifestations that would accompany its happening. The Holy Spirit reminded me that when Isaiah and Jeremiah spoke the words the Lord gave them, people laughed, scorned, ridiculed, and treated them as though they were speaking foolishness or heresy. Yet the negative response of men did not alter the truth of the Lord’s word.
The word of the Lord is never governed by “thus saith man.” Therefore, when people ridicule, question, dismiss, or contradict what the Lord has spoken concerning His purpose for your life, do not allow their response to determine what you believe. Instead, respond like Mary responded when the angel announced the impossible to her in Luke 1:38 which reads these words: “Be it unto me according to your word.”
Mary’s response was in total agreement with the Lord’s word despite the impossibility of the circumstances with the result that what Gabriel announced came to pass. We must remember the words of the Angel Gabriel in Luke 1:38 that: With God, nothing shall be impossible. The Lord is never merely promising us things that human beings already consider possible.
Again and again, the Lord demonstrates His power by declaring things that are impossible according to natural reasoning so that no flesh can glory in His presence. This is why we should always look beyond what is visible and today we are being called to lift our eyes and look beyond the plain, beyond the mountain, by looking beyond the limitations of what you presently see.
I declare over you today that Your eyes are being lifted beyond the plain and beyond every mountain of limitation into the realities that the Holy Spirit has prepared for you. The things that have never entered your imagination are being revealed to you by the Spirit of God and the vision concerning your life will speak at its appointed time and it will not lie (Habakkuk 2:3).
I declare that every voice of doubt and unbelief contradicting the word of the Lord is silenced in your heart and you will not be governed by what men say is possible or impossible. You will only agree with the Holy Spirit and say, “Be it unto me according to Your word” (Luke 1:38). You will not abort what the Lord has ordained for your life and you will not stop at the mountain because you will never turn back because of opposition.
You will see the impossible become possible by the mighty power of the Lord and what the Lord has prepared for you will come forth in its appointed season. You will experience what “eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor has entered into the heart of man” (1 Corinthians 2:9). As you will behold the manifestation of the Lord’s purpose for your life, and your testimony will be: “Look what the Lord has done! It is marvellous in our eyes in Jesus name. Amen!”
