During my communion time, the Holy Spirit highlighted a deeply rooted human perception which we often assume that when something is “swallowed up,” it must be some form of evil overpowering good. We have subconsciously accepted the narrative that destruction, oppression, and negative outcomes are the only forces capable of overtaking and consuming a person’s life.
However the Holy Spirit corrected this presumptive view by directing my attention to Isaiah 25:7–8, which reveals that it is the Lord Himself who swallows up the covering cast over people and ultimately swallows up death in victory. Far from evil having the final say, the Lord is the One with the supreme power to consume oppression, remove disgrace, and replace sorrow with redemption.
We must remember that He is the Lord who calls things that do not exist as though they did and gives life to the dead, as declared in Romans 4:17. His creative authority always overrides every negative reality. Jesus affirmed this life-giving mission in John 10:10, declaring that He came to give us life and life that more abundantly. Jesus does not merely resist death but He swallows it up forever with resurrection life
The Holy Spirit also recalled to me the words in Revelation 12:16, where the earth had swallowed up the flood the enemy had spewed forth to destroy God’s servant. Even creation itself responded to Lord’s authority over His creation by consuming the attack of the adversary and restoring back His purpose and intent on the earth.
The Holy Spirit emphasized that we as followers of Jesus must shift our focus back to meditate on the unlimited ability of the Lord to accomplish His will instead of fearing satan’s attempts to swallow up our lives or the promises of God for our lives.
We must centre our consciousness on the Lord’s superior ability and might to swallow up every evil work. We must always remember that fear magnifies the enemy’s threats to give him room in our lives, whereas faith always magnifies the Lord’s dominion.
Like Jesus did in the midst of the storm to rest so we as His followers must realize that we are not victims of sudden upheaval but grounded banners of the Lord’s faithfulness. Even if the storm begins while we are unaware, we possess the Holy Spirit advantage.
Jesus rebuked the storm and restored peace. Through the promised Helper in the person of the Holy Spirit John 16:7, we are empowered to confront and silence the turbulence that seeks to intimidate us.
The call from the Holy Spirit today is to change our limited perspective and align fully with the Lord’s viewpoint rather than the adversary’s narrative. When your full alignment occurs with the Holy Spirit, satanic plots, schemes, and oppressive circumstances are swallowed up by divine intervention. What appeared destructive will be replaced by the miraculous hand of God, bringing beauty out of ashes and transforming havoc into a testimony of glory.
Your outcome will no longer be just survival but triumph in all areas of life with a new song of victory arising from your deliverance. As you engage with this word of His grace and adjust your focus, you will witness the hand of the Lord consuming every work of darkness over your life and establishing His goodness and glory to flourish in its place in Jesus’ mighty name.
I declare in the mighty Name of Jesus that every oppressive weight over your life is being swallowed up by the power of God. So that death, fear, intimidation, and every satanic flood sent against you are being consumed and neutralized. Through the hand of the Lord who swallows up death forever, He is swallowing up every evil assignment against your destiny.
I decree that your perspectives are shifting from fear to faith and you will no longer magnify the threats of the enemy but you will magnify the Lord who gives life to the dead and calls forth new realities.
In Jesus’ name all storms that arose suddenly against you are being rebuked and the peace of Jesus is being restored to you. From today what the enemy meant to use to overtake your life with vicious attacks is now completely overtaken by the goodness of God.
I declare that a new song of deliverance is rising in your mouth as the Beauty established by the Lord is replacing all the ashes which you have suffered, as triumph in the Lord replaces all trauma. The triumphal procession of Victory is overshadowing your life beyond measure in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen.
