This word centres on the Holy Spirit revealing the destructive nature of fear and intimidation and is calling for the followers of Jesus to reject them as they are traps of the enemy designed to derail our faith, thus provoking impulsive decisions, and creating hindrances to the fulfilment of the Lord’s purpose for our lives.

In my intimate communion time with the Holy Spirit, I was reminded of the fact that fear is not from the Lord but it is a strategy used by satan to pressure us into reacting prematurely based on natural appearances rather than on the reality of eternal truth.

Romans 8:15 was presented by the Holy Spirit as the foundation for this reality, emphasising that we as followers of Jesus have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but we have received the Spirit of adoption through which we belong to the Lord and cry out Abba Father.

I immediately repented when the Holy Spirit exposed some of the fear operating within my heart, by acknowledging the fact that whenever the Holy Spirit reveals the true condition of the heart, His judgment is always accurate regardless of our personal perception of our hearts stance. The Holy Spirit questioned why we as followers of Jesus continue to fall into the trap of fear when we know it is designed as a tool to manipulate and control them.

Fear always appears convincing because it can be seen naturally, felt, and experienced naturally, creating the impression that danger and defeat are unavoidable. Yet the Holy Spirit explained that the spirit of fear only seeks our cooperation and agreement. Its purpose is intimidation with the intent to force hasty, emotional, and faithless reactions based on the assumption that circumstances will never improve.

However, if we as Jesus’s followers resist and rebuke fear, it quickly loses its power and dissipates. This truth is supported by 1 Peter 5:9, which instructs us as followers of Jesus to resist the enemy steadfast in our faith.

The Holy Spirit then brought attention to 2 Corinthians 4:18 which reads: “while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

The message emphasises the reality of how we as followers of Jesus continually make the mistake of focusing on visible circumstances even though Scripture clearly instructs us not to base our lives on what we see naturally, but on what the Lord has revealed through His Spirit.

These eternal realities revealed by the Holy Spirit always supersede natural facts and have the power to transform temporary conditions into alignment with the Lord’s truth. Matthew 16:17-19 was referenced to reinforce the principle that revelation from the Lord establishes eternal truth that cannot be overcome by earthly conditions.

The Holy Spirit stressed that fear-producing situations will arise daily on the earth, thus making vigilance and spiritual sobriety essential. We as followers of Jesus must deliberately build our lives upon eternal truth rather than temporary natural conditions because natural realities are unstable and constantly changing.

2 Corinthians 4:18 was revisited to emphasise that visible things are temporary and unreliable, whereas the Lord’s Word is eternal and unchanging. Therefore, as Jesus’s followers we must refuse to respond and react negatively to intimidation no matter how real or overwhelming it appears physically.

This word highlights the Apostle Paul as a powerful example of unwavering faith amid terrifying circumstances. Acts 20:24 was cited by the Holy Spirit where the Apostle Paul declared that none of the external pressures or threats moved him. Paul refused to allow natural events to dictate his decisions or determine his peace.

This spiritual maturity which Paul attained in union with Christ was clearly demonstrated during the violent storm at sea in Acts 27:14-38. For fourteen days where the ship endured relentless winds and darkness without sun, moon, or stars appearing causing all aboard ship to lose all hope of survival. Fear dominated the atmosphere as the people concluded that death was inevitable.

Yet in the midst of the storm, Paul remained calm because he had received a revelation from the Lord. An angel of the Lord had appeared to him and assured him that although the ship would be destroyed, every life aboard would be preserved and they would safely reach an island.

After receiving this word, Paul boldly declared the Lord’s promise to the terrified passengers and instructed them to eat so they would have strength to survive the coming swim to shore. His confidence in the Lord’s revelation to him became the stabilising force for everyone around him. Ultimately, the ensuing events unfolded exactly as the lord had spoken through Paul.

The Holy Spirit emphasised that we often read biblical accounts without fully appreciating the severity of the situations involved. The terror experienced on that storm-tossed ship was real, yet the lord had already provided a way of escape before the outcome became visible.

Paul’s ability to hear the Lord clearly in the middle of chaos demonstrated the power of focusing on eternal truth rather than temporary circumstances. The same Holy Spirit who guided Paul through impossible conditions is present with us today and is fully able to lead us safely through every storm of fear, intimidation, and uncertainty. This revelation calls for us as followers of Jesus to completely change our mindset by rejecting fear and embracing the Lord’s eternal Word as our only source of vision and direction.

Fear and intimidation must be cast out of our hearts so that faith in the Lord’s revealed truth becomes the governing force in our lives. As we the followers of Jesus anchor ourselves in the Lord’s eternal perspective, the Holy Spirit will guide us into greater realms of triumph, miraculous deliverance, and testimonies that expand the Kingdom of Jesus just as Paul’s testimony did.

I declare in Jesus name that the Holy Spirit will uproot every spirit of fear, intimidation, anxiety, and panic that has sought to govern your decisions and hinder your faith. May your eyes be fixed not on temporary circumstances but on the eternal Word of the Lord that never fails. I decree that as you resist fear and stand firm in faith, every raging storm against your life loses its power over you and gives way to divine peace, clarity, and supernatural direction.

May the same Spirit who strengthened the Apostle Paul in the midst of violent seas arise mightily within you and lead you safely through every trial into victory and triumph. May every voice of hopelessness be silenced by the revelation of the Lord’s promises in your heart, and may your life become a testimony of miraculous preservation, deliverance, and Kingdom advancement in the name of Jesus.

May the eternal realities of heaven reshape every temporary circumstance around you and bring you into the glorious destiny prepared for you in Christ Jesus. So go forward today clothed in courage, steadfast faith, and the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
