This message is a searching and corrective instruction from the Holy Spirit, calling believers to examine whose interests truly govern their daily lives and decisions.
During communion time with the Holy Spirit He emphasised the importance of honestly evaluating whether we are genuinely serving Jesus or subtly prioritising other responsibilities such as family, work, or personal agendas above doing His will.
Though this may seem demanding, it reflects the truth of James 4:5, that speaks of how the Holy Spirit who dwells in us “yearns jealously,” desiring our full devotion and alignment with the Lord’s purpose.
The Holy Spirit revealed that many followers of Jesus have fallen into routine Christianity which involves performing familiar religious actions without any true awareness of whether they are still aligned with Jesus’ present purpose.
This unfortunately leads to a dangerous drift, where one assumes they are serving the Lord while actually operating totally outside His will. Therefore, He calls for our intentional reflection to examine Jesus’ Kingdom priorities, as seen in John 2:16–17, and to measure our daily lives against them.
This requires a conscious evaluation of how we spend our time and what drives our decisions, in light of Isaiah 55:6–9, which reminds us that the Lord’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours.
The question thus becomes whether are we seeking to fulfil the Lord’s agenda, or merely asking Him to bless our own plans? The revelation is a call for us to align with His will, and certainly not to lead Him into doing our limited ideas and opinions.
The Holy Spirit spoke from 1 Peter 2:4–5, the which highlights that we are called to be living stones, being built into the Lord’s spiritual house to fulfil His purpose, and not independent agents pursuing our self-defined goals. True honour to the Lord comes from us serving the Master faithfully, as reinforced in Proverbs 27:18 which speaks of how those who tend to their master’s interests will partake of lasting rewards.
The Holy Spirit further reminds me of this way of thinking and being through John 6:63 where Jesus makes it clear that it is the Spirit who gives life, and that even a small drift from serving the Lord’s interests results in a loss of vitality, which leads to frustration and bitterness.
Often, when things seem to go wrong, the issue is never about us questioning the Lord’s faithfulness but our misalignment with His will. The contrast Jesus spoke of in John 10:10 affirms that Jesus’ purpose for our lives always produces life and supernatural abundance.
In order to correct this deficiency the Holy Spirit urges prioritising planned out secluded time with Him, especially at the start of each day, to correctly discern His heart, receive direction, and avoid unnecessary harm and missteps. This sensitivity in the Spirit enables us to walk in greater wisdom, to avoid any danger, and become vessels through which the Lord blesses others.
This revelation concludes with a strong call to action to stop rushing through life focused solely on your personal needs, and to abandon the flimsy excuses, and make yourselves available to serve others as led by the Holy Spirit.
In doing so, the sweetness and vitality of a living relationship with Jesus is restored, and fresh new life begins to flow with abundant grace, purpose, and fruitfulness to expand His Kingdom on earth.
Today, I declare in the name of Jesus that your heart is realigned with the purposes of Jesus, and every area of distraction or misplaced priority is brought into order.
I declare that you will no longer drift unconsciously into error and unnecessary dark paths, but you will walk with clarity, intention, and divine focus. As you seek the Lord and serve His interests, the life and sweetness of living in the Spirit will be restored to your soul.
I declare that you will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit clearly, to enable you to avoid every hidden danger, and step into opportunities prepared for you to be a blessing to others.
I decree that your days will be marked by abundant fruitfulness, purpose, and divine favour, and that the Holy Spirit will reign fully in your life, by producing lasting miraculous results for the glory of Jesus, and the advancement of His Kingdom in Jesus Name. Amen.
