This message is a clear and empowering instruction from the Holy Spirit on knowing our identity, spiritual discernment, and the authority of God’s Word over every opposing voice concerning our life and destiny.
In my communion time with the Holy Spirit, His emphasis was placed on refusing to allow the negative words of people, including close family to define who you are in life and what you can or cannot do. According to Lamentations 3:37, no word spoken against the Lord’s plan for you has authority or fulfilment in you unless the Lord has ordained it.
Therefore, every contrary voice must be recognised as powerless when it does not align with the Lord’s truth concerning you. I encourage you today to cast off such words completely, by treating them as worthless rags, and refusing to let them rest upon your life.
The Holy Spirit firmly established the fact that your identity is determined solely by what the Lord has spoken about you, as affirmed in 1 Peter 1:2. Therefore no human opinion, accusation, or contradiction can alter your divine identity. This truth is reinforced through the Lord’s covenant with Abraham in Genesis 12:2–3, where the Lord declared that He would bless those who bless Abraham and curse those who curse him.
This reveals that the Lord is fully aware that opposing voices will arise, often attempting to contradict or hinder His promises over you, but reminds us that He Himself takes full responsibility for dealing with them on our behalf.
This message underscores the fact that it is our responsibility to align with the Lord’s Word by speaking only what He says about us and rejecting every other narrative, in line with Isaiah 54:17, which assures us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper and every tongue that rises up against us we shall condemn.
This fact about us from the Lord must become our consistent habit and discipline to ensure that we are guarding our hearts and mouths from agreement with the enemy’s accusations.
The Holy Spirit also brought the needed balance and discernment by reminding us that while the enemy may speak through people, our battle is not against the individuals themselves.
This is illustrated clearly in scripture when satan spoke through Peter in Matthew 16:21–23, as he attempted to deter Jesus from His divine purpose to not die for our deliverance. Jesus discerned correctly and rebuked the source satan, without condemning Peter who just yielded to the thought because of the fear of losing Jesus.
Likewise, in Luke 22:47–51, even in the face of Judas’ betrayal, Jesus responded with dignity, love, and composure, because He recognised the deeper spiritual influence of satan at work in the heart of Judas. This truth teaches us how to resist the voice of the enemy while at the same time maintaining love and grace toward people.
In conclusion this word calls for us to rise up in our spiritual authority in Christ Jesus to reject every negative influence, by standing firm in the Lord’s truth, and focussing wholeheartedly on His promises. You will observe that as you do this faithfully, the Holy Spirit will empower you to walk in the reality of the Lord’s plan for your life, which is a future filled with hope, purpose, and glory, as declared in Jeremiah 29:11.
Today in the name of Jesus, I declare that every negative word spoken over your life that does not align with Lord’s will is nullified and stripped of power over your destiny. I declare that you will rise in the authority of your God-given identity, established by His Word and sealed by His covenant with you in Jesus name. I decree that no voice of accusation, doubt, or opposition will determine your path any longer.
I declare that you will speak only what the Lord has spoken, and His truth will prevail in your life to change every negative circumstances that have sought to rewrite your miraculous results. I declare that every weapon formed against you is rendered ineffective, and every lie is cast down in Jesus name.
I decree that you will walk in clarity, confidence, and divine purpose, by being fully empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfil the glorious future the Lord has ordained for you. From this day forward, I decree that you will see the Lord’s promises manifest through you, and your life will testify of His faithfulness and triumph over all things, in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen.
